Hipnoptic

Branding Design for an Optician in Barcelona. The naming we created generates all of its visual identity and storytelling around it. The symbol is directly related to a hypnotic spiral, referencing the name and visual effects.

The symbol conveys the brand's concept, directly linking it to optical illusions and distinguishing it within the sector. It can be reproduced on various mediums using different techniques. In the case of the exterior signage for the opticians, it is designed to appear in motion and is backlit.

The Brief

OCreate a naming and brand identity for ann Optical stores founded in Barcelona. It must work internationally, distributing prescription glasses and sunglasses from other brands as well as its own. The name should be appealing, have personality, and be related to optical illusions.

The Solution

Hypnoptic is directly related to the term "hypnotic." It is a combination of "hypnotic" (in English) and "òptic" (optical in Catalan). It refers to both its origins and its global projection. The name is appealing, direct, and approachable. A clean and minimalist image conveys a sense of professionalism to the end consumer.

Hypnoptic started operating in January of last year in Barcelona and is currently preparing for its expansion across the rest of Spain and Europe.
